My Mother suffered a serious fall and hospitalization in her 92nd year. When she returned to assisted living, her home for the previous 7 years, she was a fall risk. I spent the first few nights at her bedside to make sure she was safe but realized this was not sustainable. On very short notice, within 12 hours. Cheryl of A Plus had arranged a team to manage her bedside care 24 hours a day. The women at her side were the kindness. most compassionate, modest but competent people we could ever have hoped for. They established a warm relationship with my Mother. They played games with her, read to her, joked with her, held her hand and made sure she was clean, dry, out of pain and moved every 2 hours. They kept meticulous notes of all comings and goings, of all her events and her expressions. I can not adequately express what a comfort this was to the family. We came daily, and saw how well it was going. We spoke to the night shift every morning for an update, and we know they did what we could not mixed compassion with warmth and skills so important to have a healing environment. We are forever in their debt.
